About this part

A compatible replacement door seal, also called a door boot gasket, for Hotpoint and Indesit front-loading washing machines. The seal forms a watertight join between the door and the drum, so a new one is needed if the original is split, torn, perished or leaking from the front of the machine. This part covers a wide spread of Hotpoint models in the WMAOD, WMFUG, WMBF, WMEF, WMUD and WMXTF ranges as well as older Indesit IWC, IWD and IWE machines, and also suits some Ariston and Whirlpool models built on the same platform. Hotpoint and Indesit use more than one seal shape, so always check your exact appliance model number against the fitment list before ordering. To fit, peel the old seal off the front lip and drum, move over the spring retaining clips, then seat the new seal evenly and refit the clips. Replaces OEM numbers C00111416, C00200952 and C00289414.

Questions about this part

Will this seal fit both Hotpoint and Indesit machines?

It fits a broad range of Hotpoint and Indesit front-loaders, plus some Ariston and Whirlpool models. Hotpoint and Indesit use more than one seal design, so check your model number against the fitment list first.

Where do I find my model number?

It is on a rating label, usually inside the door opening or on the back of the machine. Quote the full model code, including any suffix such as UK or .C, when matching the part.

My door seal smells, do I need to replace it?

Persistent odour can come from mould trapped in a worn or damaged seal. If cleaning does not clear it, or the seal is split or perished, fitting a new seal is the usual fix.
